The Animals of Peru

 First Day in Ollantaytambo.

Sitting on the bus I saw many different dogs. Some were bit like German Shepherds and some were small like Chihuahuas. Some were in groups of 5 and some were alone. Some looked clean and some looked dirty. When looking out the window, I saw a woman taking some goats out of a grassy valley. There were some sheep who were sitting down at the top of the valley.

When we got to the hotel, we saw 3 cats, one was white and orange, one was brown with gray and black stripes, the ast was the same as the brown cat but had a white neck. Later that evening I also saw a dog wearing a batman hoodie (who looked absolutely adorable!).

On Day 3 we met Adela's dog (the director of the Peru World Leadership School section), who was the first dog we could actually pet without having to worry about rabies and fleas. We did not see many new animals on this day.

On Day 4, at the Sun Temple, there was one dog who was slpping on the grass when there was a no dog sign 10 feet away from it. There were also 4 llamas and alpacas across the path from the dog. After the visit to the Sun Temple, we went to a Despacho ceremony and on the way we saw dogs, roosters, chickens, bulls, goats, and sheep. Many of the farm animals were tied up so they wouldn't run away.

On Day 5 we met our homestay pets, which was a dog named Oso, one orange cat named Gringo, two white tabby cats with grey stripes named Whiskey and Commu, and finally a black cat with a white spot on its chest named Chino. On a walk with our homestay sister, we saw a bull grazing on bushes, which is the closest I've ever been to a bull.

On Day 7, we went to visit a group of weavers and saw a pig and an alpaca. We also saw some sheep and a lamb, which was so cute as it was jumping around a lot. The next day, we saw several donkeys that were used to fertilize a field.
